Make Brush Clearing Less of a Chore
I have never been a big fan of trimming brush. Yet, it’s one of the things every homesteader needs to do to some extent or another.
Loppers are fine for trees and brush you care about, but it takes too long and most of the time, two hands. Saws get pinched and usually make you smack your hands several times before you have bloody knuckles.
Or, you can make trimming brush fun by using a Fiskars brush hook.
I bought this bad boy on a whim looking at the tree line taunting me. Most of the trees where a mix of black locust, buck thorn, and honey suckle with grape vines mixed in just. A nightmare for anyone.
I walked up to my foe and with a one handed swipe I started to dismember natures knot into something a bit more manageable. With one hand for grabbing and the other for hacking I quickly realized why people all over the world use a form or modification of such a tool.
This model has a rounded hook. The blade is protected which means that if you would miss your mark it wont go deep into your leg. But, it will make you tree trimming go fast and actually make it kind of fun. Just don’t have too much fun be cause you still need to move all that brush.
But really, try it! Its not super expensive and its a guaranteed time saver.
